When does the Accidental Damage Warranty (ADW) Program begin?

If you purchased an ASUS notebook on or after September 10, 2007
from a selected retailer, your notebook is eligible for the warranty.

What purchase locations does the ADW Program extend to? |
 |
|
The United States and Canada. |
 |
|
When do customers need to register? |
 |
|
Customers should register within 60 days of purchase. Currently physical registration
cards are not included in the notebook boxes and all registrations must be online.
In the future customers will be able to register with a physical registration card. |

How do I register? |
 |
|
Go to http://adw.asus.com/ and follow the instructions to register. You will receive
a case number. Just print the letter and send it with your receipt to ASUS Computer
Intl. |

What retailers don’t participate in the program? |
 |
|
Currently Best Buy, Best Buy Canada, Micro Center, and The Source by Circuit City
in Canada do not participate. Notebooks bought from these retailers are not covered
by the ADW or ASUS 360.

If I bought ASUS-branded notebook on September 10, 2007, when is the last date I
can still be eligible for the registration? |
 |
|
You need to register for the Accidental Damage Warranty within 60 days of purchase,
i.e., the last date for you to register would be November 9, 2007. |

As an end user, can I file more than one
claim for accidental damage?

No, there is a limit of one claim per notebook
|

What parts of the notebook are covered by this warranty? |
 |
|
This limited warranty applies only to selected ASUS-branded notebook computers,
and to any accessories that are built in or onto the base unit. This includes parts
or accessories that are required for regular operation of the unit and shipped with
the unit at the point of sale, such as internal memory, built-in LCD, internal components/
switches, built-in buttons, drawers, lids or panels, remote controls, synchronization
devices or cables. Externally-attached peripheral devices such as batteries, stylus
pens, mouse, docking stations, and bundled software are not covered. |

How will my notebook be repaired or replaced after the claim is approved? |
 |
|
ASUS or a person we designate will either repair the original parts with new or
used parts from the original manufacturer, or a different one, or replace the notebook
with one that is equivalent to or better than the notebook you originally purchased
from us. |

What kind of accidental damages are covered? |
 |
Covered: Surge, fire, drop, and spill.
NOT covered (not limited to): scratches and dents, incorrect or inadequate customer
installation, lost or stolen, intentional damage, recovery or transfer of data stored
on the notebook, damages caused by acts of God or nature. |

Do I need pay for shipping? |
 |
|
You pay only one-way shipping. ASUS does NOT cover the cost of shipping the notebook
to our facility. But ASUS will pay the cost of shipping the notebook back to you. |

I am a friend of the original owner and he lent his notebook for me to use for a
couple of days. Can I s for him or can he transfer the warranty to me? |

No. This warranty applies only to the original owner of the notebook and can NOT
be transferred. |
